Stablewood

Stablewood is a 72-acre community with 135 houses just outside Interstate 610 of Central Houston. This community was developed by Jim and Margaret Elkins and Walter Mischer, Sr. on the family country estate of Harry C. Weiss. The Weiss family possessed an interest in the land since the 1920s. In the 1960s, Stablewood became one of the first subdivisions developed in Central Houston patterned after Boulevard Oaks. The fancy neighborhood flaunts beautiful tree-lined streets and well-designed luxury homes. Later on, the developers gave their maintenance and management responsibilities to the Property Owners Association in the 1990s.

Stablewood is one of the first gated communities in Central Houston, featuring upscale luxury properties priced at approximately $3,500,000. Its zip code 77024 made it to Forbes lists’ most expensive ZIP codes in the US. The typical floor area of a house in the community ranges from 4,253 sqft to 20,157 sqft. Residences come with 4 to 7 bedroom and 6 to 10 bathroom layouts perfect for buyers looking at an impressive home with lots of rooms for their family.
